Unikrn has announced the "Australian Showdown", a $10,000 AUD (~$7,900 USD) CS:GO competition that will take place on August 16-18 and will feature four notable Australian teams.
Unikrn expands into tournament organizing with the Unikrn TV Australian Showdown, an online tournament reserved for the best teams from the Oceanic region. The four invited teams—Chiefs, Grayhound, Kings and Athletico—will battle in a double elimination BO3 bracket over three days, with $10,000 AUD on the line.
The tournament, which will be run in cooperation with FACEIT, will start on Wednesday the 16th with the two opening games, the following day will feature the the first lower bracket matchup and the upper bracket final, while the lower bracket final and the grand final will be held on Friday, August 18th. The first game of each day will start at 11:00 , with the next one following shortly after.
The matches will be streamed on Unikrn's Twitch channel, where James Banks and George "hudzG" Hoskins will be prefacing the matches in the "Oddsbreaker", a live show segment, before jumping in the server and casting the games.

The prize pool of $10,000 AUD will be split in the following way:
1. $5,000 AUD (~$3,950 USD)
2. $3,500 AUD (~$2,750 USD)
